The varsity squad won the Regional competition on Saturday and is headed to State? Winning every round, varsity earned 11 perfect 10 scores as well as 23 9’s. In a stunning upset, the JV squad beat varsity teams from Bay Port, DePere and Roncalli. The JV team earned 2nd place and are eligible for the wildcard draw. East High swept regional competition, and we couldn’t be prouder!

On Saturday, February 6th East High School FBLA members participated in regional competition at Xavier High School in Appleton. Once again East had a strong showing with 14 out of 17 students finishing in the top 10. They included:

• Taylor Bergstrom - 9th place in Personal Finance
• MaryBeth Perdomo - 7th place in Public Speaking
• Becky Hebbe - 7th place in Job Interview
• Andy Froelich - 7th place in Sports Management
• Tony Froelich - 6th place in Marketing
• Steve Golla and Paul VandenElzen - 6 place in Business Ethics

Finishing in the top 5 and representing East FBLA at State Competition in April are:

• Tina Vang and Vanessa Xiong who placed 5th in Desktop Publishing
• Reed Dhein who placed 3rd in Marketing
• Matt Thibodeau - who placed 2nd in Sports Management
• Brittney Tollar - who took 1st place in Word Processing
• Justin Greenawald and Troy LeCaire - who took 1st place in Web Site Development. This is the 3rd consecutive year that East has taken 1st place in the Web Site Development Event at Regionals.

Congratulations East FBLA!!

Congratulations to our Academic Decathlon Team for taking 1st place at the Regional Competition at UWGB on Friday January 8th.!!!! They will be representing East at the State Competition in March.

Ariel Goerl, Emily McKinney, Corey Warren, Kevin Sampson, Molly Occhino, Carmen Dehn, Paul VandenElzen, Ian McDonald, and Marybeth Perdomo represented East and will be representing us at the State Level competition.

Other local schools finishing in the top 3 included:

1. Green Bay East High School (29,144.8 points)
2. Bay Port High School (29,046.8 points)
3. Green Bay Southwest High School (28,926.9 points)
